Ceva® 100 Joint System With Evazote 380® E.S.P.

The CEVA® 100 System combines Evazote 380® E.S.P. with H.A.L.S. (Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers) with Eva-Pox® Bonder to create a 100% watertight joint seal between concrete substrate headers. This system can be installed anywhere a watertight seal is required: within vertical or horizontal expansion joints in buildings, plazas, parking decks/ramps, bridges, highways, tunnels, water treatment plants, stadiums, etc. The CEVA® 100 System also functions as a water-stop against hydrostatic pressure (i.e. pools, fountains, dams, etc.).

Ceva® 200 Joint System With Evazote 380® E.S.P.

The CEVA® 200 system consists of the Evazote 380® E.S.P. with H.A.L.S. (Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers) and Eva-Pox® Bonder. This joint seal is bonded between cast-in-place, steel edged joint nosings of various sizes. The CEVA® 200 system is ideal for new and rehabilitation construction in bridges, parking garages, piers and industrial facilities.

Ceva® 250 Joint System With Evazote 380® E.S.P.

The CEVA® 250 System combines Evazote 380® E.S.P. with H.A.L.S (Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers) with Eva Pox® Bonder and one of our elastomeric concrete header materials (CEVA® Crete / Novul® Crete / ElastoTM Crete) to create the most popular of the CEVA® Expansion Joint Systems. The versatility of the CEVA® 250 System makes it ideal for new or rehabilitation projects on bridges, parking decks / garages, stadiums, etc. Our elastomeric concrete performs as an energy-absorbing header (nosing), available in a variety of colors, designed to eliminate edge spalls while offering excellent adhesion to concrete, steel and asphalt substrates.

Ceva® 300 Joint System With Evazote 380® E.S.P.

The CEVA® 300 System combines Evazote 380® E.S.P. with H.A.L.S (Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers) with Eva-Pox® Bonder, one of our elastomeric concrete header materials (CEVA® Crete / Novul® Crete / ElastoTM Crete) and steel to create the most rugged of our joint systems. Our elastomeric concrete performs as an energy-absorbing header (nosing), available in gray or black, designed to eliminate edge spalls while offering excellent adhesion to concrete, steel and asphalt substrates. The CEVA® 300 System is a “belts and suspenders” system intended for abusive conditions found on many major highways, bridges, and tunnels.

The CEVA® FINGER JOINT System

The CEVA® FINGER JOINT System combines Evazote 380® E.S.P. W/H.A.L.S. as the joint seal, bonded in place with Eva-Pox® Bonder between two steel plates. This system can be installed anywhere excessive amounts of movement are anticipated and a watertight seal is required. Steel “fingers” are mounted above and below the joint seal. (Joint material installation can occur in the field or in our fabrication facility). By utilizing Evazote 380® E.S.P. W/H.A.L.S. over the conventional rubber trough, debris is no longer able to accumulate in the expansion joint. This eliminates one of the modes of failure of a traditional finger joint. Finger Joints can be designed for upwards of twenty-five (25) inches of movement. Each finger joint is custom designed and fabricated to individual specifications. Please contact e-poxy engineered materials, l.l.c. for specific questions.

JOINT SEALS

CEVA® TERRASTRIP is an inert, preformed, closed cell, polypropylene joint filler used as a cast-in-place form with a top strip that pulls out after the poured in place concrete has set. After removing the tear-away strip, which is sized according to specifications on plans, a caulk joint, control joint or expansion joint can be installed. It is ideal for use as an expansion joint form when installing the Evazote 380® E.S.P. product in the formed opening. In addition, use it as a control joint when the Eva-Pox® All Temperature Flex Resin #36 is poured into the formed opening. The Ceva® Terrastrip is custom cut to your requirements for depth of material, depth of tear-out, and width of material; any dimension from 1/2”+ (12mm+) wide to 3”+ (75mm+) deep.
EVA-SEAL® is a closed cell, cross-linked ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer foam. This material is designed and recommended as an expansion / contraction joint filler with movements within the range of 25% tension and 50% compression.

Evazote 380® E.S.P. w/ H.A.L.S. is a closed-cell, cross-linked ethylene vinyl acetate, low-density, polyethylene copolymer, nitrogen blown foam material that is sandy beige in color. The joint material being both closed cellular and elastic has a working range of 60% compression, 30% tension and 120% shear. Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers, H.A.L.S., are added to prevent the Evazote 380® from Ultra Violet degradation. Evazote 380® is unaffected by road salts and petroleum products (i.e. gasoline, diesel fuel, oil and grease). Evazote 380® rejects stones and debris otherwise absorbed by strip seals. When under compression Evazote 380® closes upon itself, eliminating the possible extrusion of the material created by thermal contraction of the expansion joint. Basic uses of Evazote 380® E.S.P. w/ H.A.L.S. include a seal in one of the Ceva Expansion Joint Systems, as a gasket, pressure relief joint, etc.

Evazote 50® is a resilient, non-extrudable material designed for the construction and maintenance of concrete structures, pavements, and bridges and may be adapted to any waterstop design. This weather and wear resistant product is an impermeable closed-cell, cross-linked, ethylene vinyl acetate, low-density polyethylene copolymer, nitrogen blown foam material that is gray in color. Being both closed cellular and elastic, it can operate within the range of 50% compression and 25% tension. The Joint Material is unaffected by road salts and petroleum products, such as gasoline, oil and grease. It’s elasticity will reject stones and similar objects typically absorbed by conventional jointing materials.

PLASTAZOTE® is a closed cell, cross-linked polyethylene foam, produced from LD polyethylene. Designed and recommended as a joint filler within the range of 20% tension and 40% compression when bonded to the substrates. It is a water impervious and chemical resistant joint filler material that is ideal for new and rehabilitation projects. Tests have shown the material to comply with Department of Trade, Marine Division Schedule of tests for buoyancy materials: BS3595.
